The Unreal Engine for Filmmakers course was born out of a need to create visual effects for an Indie Sci-Fi film I started in 2020 called Gemini. In my research for the project, I discovered Unreal Engine which, at the time, was just making its way onto the film scene via The Mandalorian and Virtual Production.
I started learning Unreal and quickly discovered the benefits and accessibility of the software. But it wasn’t an easy journey for me. I spent hundreds of hours stuck on problems and snags in the process, sorting through hours upon hours of YouTube videos and trying to learn information that was scarcely available to begin with, and most of it completely out of date. This is what led me to create the Unreal Engine for Filmmakers course.
The aim of the course is to prevent other Indie Filmmakers, VFX artists, and Game Cinematics creators from having to go through what I did – spending hundreds of hours trying to figure it out on your own.
